This 9-day journey is tailored for those who wish to witness the awe-inspiring Great Migration and explore Tanzania’s finest national parks. Beginning and ending in Arusha, the safari takes you from the groundwater forests and alkaline lake of Manyara to the endless plains of the Serengeti, where you’ll follow the herds northward. You’ll explore the Ngorongoro Highlands, descend into the world-famous crater, and finish with a classic game drive among the baobabs and elephant herds of Tarangire. With hand-picked lodges and tented camps, expert guides, and close-up wildlife encounters, this is the ultimate safari for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be welcomed by our team and transferred to Meru View Lodge. Relax and enjoy the lush surroundings as you prepare for the adventure ahead.

 


Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park. This park is famed for its tree-climbing lions, vibrant flamingo population, and diverse habitats ranging from groundwater forests to open plains. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch before heading to the Ngorongoro Highlands.Dinner and overnight at Marera Valley Lodge

 


Day 3: To Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands
Depart early for Serengeti National Park, driving through the misty hills of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the crater viewpoint for a photo opportunity, then continue into the heart of the Serengeti. Afternoon game drive en route to Tanzania Bush Camps for Dinner and overnight. 

 


Day 4: Serengeti to Northern Serengeti (Migration Safari)
Head north after breakfast in search of the Great Migration herds crossing the Mara River. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Serengeti’s rich landscapes and wildlife-filled plains, with game viewing along the way.Dinner and overnight at Mara Kati Kati Tented Camp.

 


Day 5: Full Day in Northern Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the Northern Serengeti, focusing on migration viewing. With luck, you may witness dramatic river crossings or predators following the herds. Break for a picnic lunch in the wild before continuing the game drive.Dinner and overnight at Mara Kati Kati Camp 

 


Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, begin the journey back south. Enjoy a game drive en route as you leave the Serengeti behind and enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional visits (extra cost) to a Maasai Boma or Olduvai Gorge can be arranged in the evening you will leave the park and head to Karatu to Marera Valley Lodge for Dinner and Overnight.

 


Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for an unforgettable game drive in this UNESCO-listed biosphere reserve. Spot rhinos, elephants, lions, and more in the world’s largest unbroken caldera. After a picnic lunch, ascend and return to Marera Valley lodge.

 


Day 8: Tarangire National Park – Return to Arusha
Depart early for Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds and giant baobab trees. Enjoy a final game drive and picnic lunch before heading back to Arusha in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Meru View Lodge.

 


Day 9: Departure Day
Depending on your flight time, you’ll be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your departure flight.
