Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Your safari adventure begins as our team picks you up from the airport (Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport). You will then be transferred to Meru View Lodge, where you will meet our team for a safari briefing. Take this time to relax and prepare for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. Known for its diverse ecosystems, this park features lush forests, acacia woodlands, open savannah, and the shimmering Lake Manyara itself. Keep an eye out for large elephant herds, tree-climbing lions, flamingos, giraffes, and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your adventure.

Day 3: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park (via Ngorongoro)

After an early breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, driving through the stunning highlands of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, you will have a short stop at the Ngorongoro Crater viewpoint for breathtaking views of this ancient caldera. Upon arrival in Serengeti, embark on a game drive across the endless plains, searching for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Day 4: Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti

Enjoy a full-day game drive exploring Serengeti National Park. This vast ecosystem supports an incredible variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, and more. The Serengeti is particularly famous for the Great Migration, where millions of animals move across the plains in search of fresh grazing land.

Day 5: Another Full-Day Game Drive in Serengeti (Ndutu)

Today, you continue exploring Serengeti, but with a focus on the Ndutu region (Southern Serengeti). This area is particularly rich in wildlife from December to March, when the Great Migration herds arrive for the calving season. You may witness newborn wildebeests and predators like lions and cheetahs taking advantage of the abundance of prey.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro (Game Drive En Route)

Enjoy one last morning game drive in Serengeti before departing for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, spot more wildlife as you traverse the diverse landscapes. With some luck, you may spot the Big Five: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Wake up early for a once-in-a-lifetime game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, lions, hippos, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. After a picnic lunch inside the crater, ascend and drive back to Karatu.

Day 8: Tarangire National Park – Return to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its massive elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and diverse birdlife. Enjoy a game drive along the Tarangire River, where animals gather to drink, making it a prime wildlife-viewing location. Later in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.

Day 9: Transfer to the Airport

Depending on your flight schedule, our driver will transfer you to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your departure flight, whether back home or onward to Zanzibar for a beach extension.

Lake Manyara National Park – Famous for tree-climbing lions, large elephant herds, and thousands of flamingos
