7 Day Tanzania Private Big Five Safari

After arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver will collect you from the airport and will transfer you to Meru View Lodge, located only a few hundred meters from the gate to Arusha National Park. On a cloudless day you can see the 2 highest mountains of Tanzania – Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilimanjaro.

After an early breakfast you will continue to the foot of the Rift Valley and to Lake Manyara National Park. This park has a beautiful flora, but also very interesting wildlife. If you are very lucky, you might even see some lions on the trees. Later in the afternoon you will leave Manyara and will drive up the slopes of the Rift Valley, thereby enjoying fantastic views to Lake Manyara National Park directly below and to Maasai land in the distance. After having reached the top edge of the Rift Valley, you will continue to Pamoja Olea Farm Lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands. This lodge is located about 1 – 2 kilometers far from the border of the Ngorongoro wild forest.

After breakfast you will leave Pamoja Olea Farm Lodge and drive to Serengeti Via Ngorongoro Conservation Area you will explore a bit of Ngorongoro and you can stop by the Crater view if there is no foggy weather on this day. You will then enter Serengeti during lunch hours you will stop at a picnic site for lunch and continue to a game drive in central Serengeti until later in the afternoon. You will then drive to your accomodation Pamoja Serengeti Luxury Camp where you will have dinner and overnight.

You will do a full day’s game drive in Serengeti. In this park you have the biggest chances of seeing the 3 big cats lion, leopard and cheetah. Your driver will do his best to show you as much wildlife as possible. You will drive southwards and you will reach Ndutu Kati Kati Tented Camp in Southern Serengeti in the later afternoon.

After an early breakfast you will cross Serengeti and will then head to Ngorongoro Crater rim. Thereafter you will drive down to the Crater floor. Here you will see lots of wildlife spread almost all over the floor. If you are lucky, you might even see some of the last rhinos of Tanzania, as well as some huge elephant bulls with huge tusks. You will leave the Crater shortly before the expiry of the permitted time. The drive up to the Crater rim will allow you once more spectacular views down to the Crater Floor. You will then leave the Conservation Area and will head back to Karatu and to Pamoja Olea Farm House.

You will drive down to the foot of the Rift Valley and will continue to Tarangire National Park. This park has the largest elephant population in Northern Tanzania. You will also be impressed by the many baobab trees. You will leave the park in the late afternoon and will head back to Arusha and continue from there to Meru View Lodge.

Your driver will bring you to Kilimanjaro International Airport in time for your flight back home.
