Machame 6 Days (Camping)

Elevation: 3021m Distance:10.7 kilometers. Departing from Meru View Lodge through the Village of Machame to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate. The Journey begins for a six days adventure in the rainforests of Kilimanjaro in Machame area. From Machame gate to Machame camp.

Elevation: 3839meters Distance:5.3kilometers This day early morning after breakfast we start the journey towards Shira campsite. Temperatures begin to drop as the altitude rises enjoying the beautiful scenery of west Kilimanjaro.

Elevation: 3986m Distance: 10.75km This day is important for acclimatization. From Shira Plateau we continue, passing the junction towards the Kibo peak before we then continue, South East towards the Lava Tower. Shortly after the tower we continue to descend to overnight at Barranco Camp.

Elevation:4662meters Distance:8.5 Kilometers Today we move towards Barafu camp and on the way, we go through Karanga Camp. An early dinner and rest as we prepare for summit night. Overnight at Barafu Camp.

Elevation: 5895meters Descent to 3106meters Altitude lost: 2789m Today we have an early start between midnight and 2 a.m. So as to make it at Uhuru peak at sunrise.You will be rewarded with the most magnificent sunrise during your short rest here. Faster hikers may view the sunrise from the summit, you are likely to encounter snow all the way. Congratulations you made it to the highest point on Mount Kilimanjaro and the entire continent of Africa! Afterwards we begin our steep descent down to Mweka Camp, stopping at Barafu for lunch and a very brief rest. Overnight Mweka Camp.

Elevation: 1633m Altitude lost: 1473m We continue the descent down to the Mweka Park Gate. Here you will be picked up and brought to a place arranged by Eyes Of Tanzania. Where you will have barbeque and be awarded your certificates. Then you will be brought back to your lodge where you will rest and prepare for the next day. DAY 7: Continue with a safari in Tanzania’s most beautiful parks or visit Arusha City and learn the Tanzanian culture or you could have cultural tours or visit Zanzibar all arranged by Eyes Of Tanzania.
